The premier dog walking and pet sitting company in Anne Arundel County is hiring! Tails on Trails is a wonderful place to work!

We are looking for some extra help—this position is perfect for some supplemental income for the season.

Currently, we are hiring animal lovers, part-time, for temporary holiday work. We are hiring in the following areas: Odenton, Crofton, Severn, Annapolis and Gambrills. All hires must be available to work holidays, including Christmas. Walkers are assigned to certain geographies and work on a team to cover up to two of the areas noted.

What does it take to be a great Tails on Trails employee?

Animal lovers with previous experience as pet sitters, veterinarian technicians, groomer’s assistants, and kennel workers will find this job to be a great fit. Other important skills include the ability to multitask, great attention to detail, calm demeanor, ability to work in a team environment, and problem solving skills.

Why would I want to be a Tails on Trails employee?

Support staff in the office set our walkers up for success. Walkers are able to focus their time on caring for our wonderful family of pets, not paperwork, scheduling, or lengthy administrative tasks.

Why else?

As an employee, not a contractor, we are able to train, support, and recognize our staff on a regular basis. Employee benefits include ongoing recognition contests that include gift cards, phone/data subsidy, paid training and office time, and Tails on Trails gear and equipment to help you get the job done.

Working in teams will enable you to have rotating holidays off, but because we are pet sitters, we need to be available when people go away – holidays and weekends! Please do not apply if you are not willing to work some combination of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This is a job that requires going from client to client, so reliable transportation and the knowledge that driving to and from clients, and up to 40 miles, each day, is the nature of the business. All applicants must be comfortable driving to multiple clients during your shift.

We invest in our staff with training, equipment, and support. We request that you only apply if you are able to commit to nine months or more of employment.

Background check and a smartphone are required for the position.
